If the government led by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) comes to power for the third time, the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Sensex could reach a level of one lakh or more within the next five years. This estimation has been expressed by the prominent investor Mark Mobius. The Sensex is currently around 64,000. From the current level, the Sensex could witness a growth of nearly 60%. Mobius stated that despite challenges at the global level, India remains the safest investment destination for investors. He said that India is a favorite place for opportunities and innovations. India’s optimism is inspired by a stable government and the youth with an average age of 27. Companies moving away from China could greatly benefit India. He mentioned that despite global concerns, the Indian market will continue to grow. The market might face corrections and slowdowns, but these are not a source of concern, but rather opportunities.
