The Western UP Chapter of CREDAI NCR proudly felicitated Mr Rajive Kumar, the first Chairman of the Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP RERA), on his upcoming retirement. Mr Kumar, a retired IAS officer who previously served as the Chief Secretary of the UP Government, has made invaluable contributions to the real estate sector during his tenure as Chairman.
“Mr Rajive Kumar’s exemplary leadership and unwavering commitment to the real estate sector have been instrumental in revolutionizing the industry in Uttar Pradesh. His pioneering initiatives have set new standards for transparency, accountability, and efficiency, positively impacting all stakeholders. We extend our heartfelt gratitude for his invaluable contributions,” Mr. Amit Modi, President of CREDAI Western U.P., said.
Under his dynamic leadership, UP RERA has been at the forefront of numerous initiatives. Notable accomplishments include introducing online registration of complaints from day one, implementing an e-court model for stakeholders, and establishing a streamlined process to schedule hearings for order execution under sections 38, 40, and 63 of the RERA Act. Additionally, Mr Kumar pioneered initiating rehabilitation programs under Section-8 and reconstruction efforts under Section-15 of the RERA Act to address stalled projects.
Under his able leadership, UP RERA Conciliation Forum was established in the year 2018 with the primary aim of addressing the issues of Buyers and Builders and to get them resolved amicably in order to save valuable time & resources and also to encourage confidence amongst the stakeholders through transparent and inclusive process. Apart from RERA Officers and Conciliators; this forum has representatives from CREDAI and Homebuyers association. The process of conciliation forum brought Hundreds of Homebuyers and Developers to the negotiation table instead of initiating formal legal proceedings before the RERA Bench. Till date, this forum, which has representatives of CREDAI as well on-board, has already resolved 1100 plus cases under the guidance and leadership of Shri Rajive Kumar.
As a man with a visionary outlook, Mr Rajive Kumar actively fostered direct communication with stakeholders. He established RERA Samvaad to address grievances under the “Jan Sunwai” model.
