OpenAI, the company that created ChatGPT, has removed co-founder and CEO Sam Altman from his position due to a lack of confidence in his abilities, and he has resigned from his role. Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Mira Murati will serve as the interim CEO, with the company conducting a search for a permanent CEO. Additionally, President Greg Brockman will also resign. Altman and others founded OpenAI in 2015 as a non-profit organization dedicated to researching artificial intelligence. Sam Altman expressed on the social media platform X, “I enjoyed my time at OpenAI. It was personally meaningful for me, and I hope a bit world-changing. I also enjoyed working with such talented people. I have a lot to say about what comes next, but not today.”
