The Gujarat government has started preparations on a war footing as soon as it got the information of a patient with an omicron variant of Corona in Jamnagar. Although a large number of deaths have not yet been reported due to Omicron, the state government is preparing for the possibility of a third wave, drawing lessons from previous experiences.
The government has decided that a patient who has detected an Omicron variant will be kept in a compulsory hospital even if he has normal symptoms and will be kept in a separate ward and, if possible, in a separate hospital instead of being kept with other covid patients.

Their local health staff will carry out surprise checks so that they do not go out and if a person violates the quarantine rules he may be jailed under the Epidemic Act. Training of 1.33 lakh medical and nursing staff has started and teams of experts will go to each district and work to stop the situation from deteriorating.

Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel immediately called a review meeting in this regard and instructed to complete all the preparations for the third wave immediately. Health Minister Hrishikesh Patel and Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghvi were present at the meeting.
