Two new cases of Omicron reported in Jamnagar

The new variant of the Corona, Omicron, has caused a stir around the world. The first case of Omicron variant was also registered in Jamnagar in Gujarat at that time. Now there are three cases of Omicron in Gujarat. All the three cases have been registered in Jamnagar.
In Jamnagar, the corona report of two persons who came in contact with the person who was Omicron positive was positive. So their samples were sent along with Omicron, in which laboratory tests revealed that both of them also had Omicron.
The first case of Omicron in Gujarat was reported in Jamnagar. A 72-year-old man from Jamnagar, who came to Gujarat from Zimbabwe on November 28, received a positive report from Corona on December 2. The sample was sent to Pune lab after finding suspicious symptoms of Omicron. The city’s health system is in turmoil after the old man’s omicron report came back positive. This was the first case of Omicron variant in Gujarat. The Chief Secretary called a review meeting with the Collector and health officials of Jamnagar and the Chief Minister also called an immediate review meeting.
After the first case of Omicron was registered in Jamnagar, an urgent meeting was called with the Health Minister at the residence of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel. The meeting discussed how to deal with the threat of the Omicron variant. All the district collectors of the state have been instructed to conduct intensive testing of tourists from abroad.
Health Secretary Manoj Agarwal said that the dental college in Jamnagar has been kept in isolation. 4 persons tested positive for corona, one of which has been detected as omicron variant.
Covina Hospital was started by Reliance Foundation at Dental College, Jamnagar at a time when Corona was in its second wave in Gujarat. The hospital is currently treating patients with Omicron variants.
